Apostolos is the co-founder and managing partner of DIKAION LAW Lawyers & Consultants.

Previously, he practiced law in Athens and was senior associate of VGONTZAS-STATHOPOULOS & Associates for almost a decade.  

Apostolos read law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki [LL.B. (1st Class Honours), 2001] and at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens [LL.M. in Civil Law awarded with Distinction in 2002]. He was admitted to Volos Bar Association in 2004 with distinction and then to Thessaloniki Bar Association in 2008.

The main field of Apostolos’ s professional activities is civil and administrative law cases (consulting and litigation). He has extensive experience in advising Greek and international clients on Greek tax matters. He regularly advises on tax controversy and fiscal disputes. He focuses on corporate taxation, M&A taxation, double taxation treaties and European tax law, including matters relevant to the establishment, financing, operation and restructuring of Greek subsidiaries of multinational companies. Apostolos is also involved in advising foreign companies on permanent establishment and other issues related to the application of double taxation treaties or issues of European tax law.

In addition, he has experience in public law cases involving beaches, seabed, ports and anchorages, forests and urban & estate planning law, private & professional pleasure yachts, marinas etc. advising private individuals, Greek and multinational companies against the State. He has acted for private interests as well as for governmental authorities and public interests companies.

He also advises Greek and foreign clients in matters pertaining to investments in Greece, incorporation of companies, M&A’s, transport law and logistics, agency, distribution and dealership agreements, submission of companies to development laws and labour law issues.

He is involved in cases concerning breach of law of obligations and torts, debt collection and has also handled trademark & patent cases, defending the interests of the firm’s clients against infringers.

Apostolos also advises a number of clients on issues of compliance with public procurement law, structuring of bids in public international tenders held by Greek awarding authorities in several sectors such as utilities, health services sector, construction and services and litigates public procurement disputes before national civil and administrative courts.

He has a successful practice in litigation, having handled a wide range of cases in various areas of law with particular emphasis on civil, commercial and administrative law and also has a significant presence and remarkable success in penal law cases of great interest.

He is fluent in Greek, English and German.
